About Me

Born and raised in Zimbabwe but living in the UK for some years now, I was inspired to start up 'Soaping African Dreams' after doing an online cold processed soap making course.  I fell in love with the process and the final product. I loved the fact that all the ingredients were natural, shea butter, olive oil, castor oil, coconut oil, and blending essential oils to produce comforting and exotic scents.  Mixing natural clays and cosmetic micas allowed me to use my imagination.  Creating the soaps made me so happy.

When you are born in Africa it shapes your essence and never leaves you. With this in mind I decided to craft hand made cold processed soaps which are inspired by the scents, botanicals, places and memories of living in Africa.  The process of making each soap and naming it gives me such a buzz, and I have to confess, I’ve been a sucker for all the likes I’ve had on social media from my friends and family over the time of testing and making new creations.

The ingredients I use are from reputable UK based businesses, with traceability for all ingredients.  My recipes have an approved cosmetic assessment and are safe.  I have made sure that my labelling and packaging are from sustainable sources and are recyclable.
